The Free Speech Zone
Michelle Tucker is a political junkie, in a world full of them. She moved to Milwaukee from the south, and is still often surprised that it's OK to be a Democrat here; she's also quite in love with Russ Feingold (and Al Harris). Besides her political addiction, Michelle is a full-time student pursuing her Masters in Political Science, and is currently researching the influence of religion on American politics.
Gray Matter
Gray Matter is penned by Ted Bobrow. A native New Yorker, Ted is a Milwaukee-based writer and communications strategist who has an absolute belief in the value of every individual (though there have been a number of times when he was mighty tempted to make an exception). He knows that this isn't the best of all possible worlds so we might as well get busy. Apathy is not an option.

Up All Night
Jon Anne is VITAL's Co-Publisher and Editor in Chief. She's also the President of the Milwaukee Press Club and a member of the best tribe in the world. On the rare occasions when she steals a moment for herself, she likes to hole up in her attic office in the middle of the night, writing her manifesto and playing online computer games.
Love Letters
Amy, your friendly neighborhood managing editor, likes dogs, coffee and sleeping in late. A native of Detroit and the daughter of a meat magnate, she moved to Milwaukee last summer and has spent most of her time here taking walks, riding bikes, and falling in love with everything. She no longer consumes the animal products that paid for her college education.
Messiah Simplex
Michael Gull's comedy is like a cup of police station coffee: dark, strong, bitter and definitely an eye-opener. Also, it makes you pee a lot. For more pictures, his astrological sign and a complete schedule of Michael's appearances, visit www.myspace.com/renegadecomic
Please Send Help!
Just like you, Matt Wild plays (played?) in a rock and roll band and is constantly broke. He has all his original hair, however, and weeps openly at baseball games.
Between Stages
Russ Bickerstaff has been writing for VITAL since 2003, when the world probably made slightly more sense. He co-manages an apartment complex with his beautiful wife Carrie, a poet for an insurance company with whom he hopes to eventually move to the suburbs to raise some little insurance poet-critics. There must be decent paying work around here somewhere...
