A LITTLE OLD, A LITTLE NEW
Fall gusts into winter as the performing arts ring in two months of holiday performances. With fall colors dissolving this month into winter chill, audiences can find cheer in traditional fare including The Rep’s A Christmas Carol and IIn Tandem’s A Cudahy Caroler Christmas. Present Music presents its annual Thanksgiving concert, joined by The Boulevard Theater’s production of Indian Blood— altogether a dramatic tribute to the holiday. First Stage Children’s Theatre presents 12 Days — A Milwaukee Christmas, written by local author and actor James DeVita, who will return to the stage of The Rep later this season. Elsewhere in theatre, RSVP Productions presents Dog Sees God, Bert V. Royale’s post-Peanuts/post-modern comedy that plays games with Schultz’s comic strip characters. In dance, Michael Pink’s Milwaukee Ballet presents its own take on the holiday mood with Stephen Mills’ version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
