Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Cancer is an odd mix of energies. It's a cardinal sign, usually considered the most dynamic kind. But as the next couple of weeks progress, you’re certainly gathering your forces and building your strength. You’re set to make many discoveries about who you are and what you need. And you’re more than likely to figure out how to pull the whole package together. There will be times when what you seek the most seems to be far from your sight or way out of reach. And the moment you find it inside you, you're likely to see it appear before your eyes.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23)
You have no need to worry
if you suddenly transform from a famous socialite to the hermit on the mountain. There is, in fact, quite a lot going on in your interior world, and you may notice that it’s really the richest, most fulfilling state of being. You’re gathering your energy for a specific purpose that will become obvious around the time Saturn enters your sign next month. In the meantime, follow the natural guidance of your feelings and energy level; listen to your inner voice with particular care. The moment in which you stand is far more important than you may now realize.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
Friends are good for confidence, but remember that you’re the ideological leader of your tribe. With or without realizing it, you have opened up a territory that others are soon to follow you into. Now you need to accept the support being offered you with no trace of resentment. The real work has yet to happen, and there will be many hands around you to make it lighter, more fun, and a true opportunity for bonding in the kind of friendship that can only come with a shared mission. Not a sense of mission: an actual mission. Lead on.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23)
This is the time of year when most horoscope columns will be talking about making professional advances. What they may not be saying, and what I will tell you, is that you are in truth so successful that you cannot afford to be under anyone’s thumb. To the contrary, you are a rare kind of visionary, and a big part of that vision involves making sure that everyone’s needs are met. Which of your parents felt that you were worthy of care and nurturing? Which parent saw your potential? That’s the parent whose example you are following, and whose inner wisdom will benefit you now.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Though it’s always nice to go beyond rational reasons for faith, it does help to have them. My take is that you’ve noticed a certain phenomenon where you can go with your life as far as your faith will take you. In actuality, much more than you suspected could come into being, though when we expand the limits of the positive things that are possible there are phases where we must check out the negative things that are possible. At this stage, the element of choice must become a factor in the spiritual equation. You’re free to make a commitment to yourself: the promise to make the right decision when you can.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22)
Commitments run in a kind of cycle, and sometimes many cycles. At the moment, emphasis is shifting to debts that you are owed, promises to you that have not been fulfilled and business arrangements that are specifically designed to finance your projects. I suggest you gradually turn up the energy on collecting old bills, and remind people who thought you were a great investment six months ago that you’re still a great investment today. And there are some people around you who will be taking custom requests, so think about what you need and pluck up the courage to ask for it specifically.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)
There’s only so much work we should be required to do for relationships. A wise tactic would be to avoid discussions or confrontations that are primarily mental exercises, where things are spoken of in theory rather than in terms of grounded emotions, needs, desires and grievances. Along a similar line, you might want to funnel all unusually assertive tendencies into a negotiation process, rather than getting involved in a hostage situation.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19)
If you’ve had your mind on creative projects lately, now is the time to make some real headway. The Sun is passing through the most daring and artistically liberated part of your chart this month, and after that, the planets shift to the work angle. If I may play consultant for a moment, remember that what you may encourage in yourself is a spirit of curiosity and experimentation that will help set you free to have your best ideas. All you need is to open the jar and let yourself free. Let the lightning out of the bottle, rather than trying to collect it there.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Financial, sexual or creative partnerships take center stage this month. What are vital are the energy of the meeting, the agreement to collaborate and the awareness of how you can support your mutual needs. You’re finally coming into your own on having a measure of authentic self-confidence. You have other things going for you; and you don’t lose access to them because you’re feeling on some level that you really do have what it takes to create a life where your own needs are acknowledged and met. Keep an eye out for anyone who happens to notice how much you offer before you even say hello.

Aries (March 20-April 19)
It’s likely that the last few days of Mars in Aries (through June 11) may not exactly have you feeling like the Six Million Dollar Man. The question is why. The answer is probably that you are attempting to bring a long cycle of experience to a close. Yes, something is ending, and something about you is resolving itself. You may need to find closure with a particular person in your life. Or you may want to devote the time to coming to terms with what has come and gone in your life in the past two years.

Taurus (April 19-May 20)
Think beautiful thoughts and they’re all the more likely to manifest. But don’t forget to give fear a place. I’m not encouraging you to be afraid or paranoid. I’m suggesting that fear is a natural aspect of consciousness. If you let the fear speak first, it will feel listened to. Then, the many plans, ideas and hoped-for experiences you are developing, which seem specifically designed to offer you a feeling of safety on the planet, will feel all the more valid and necessary. Remember that if only a few of your most cherished ideas find a home in the world, you are doing very well.

Gemini (May 20-June 21)
You’re in a stage of life when it’s becoming productive to interact more assertively with the world around you. This may involve a variety of what feel like tests of confidence. You may have noticed that there are two kinds of confidence: that which is put on from the outside like a costume, and the kind that comes from the inside and is connected to your core reality. Know when to pause and ask, “Is this right?” When you get back a no, let it be no. When you get back a yes, that’s your time to proceed with the sense that you are doing the right thing for yourself.
